MEETING OBJECTIVES:
- Evaluator update: Enable NSF to brief I/UCRC Evaluators on policies and updates concerning the I/UCRC program and Evaluator role;
- Research forum: Provide a forum for presentation, review, and discussion of current findings from ongoing research by the I/UCRC Evaluation Program and current, NSF-supported evaluation research projects;
- Information exchange: Provide a vehicle for I/UCRC Evaluators to exchange information and ideas about best practices for the role of Evaluator; and
- Innovations in evaluation: Offer a platform for presenting and discussing new findings, theory, and/or applications in the national community of professionals involved in evaluation of R&D, industry-university cooperative research, role of evaluation in innovation management, and related topics.

How do evaluators actually collect and use LIFE data in IAB (Industrial Advisory Board) meetings? After a review of evaluators' responsibilities regarding LIFE forms, this interactive session reports a survey of 2009 evaluator practices, alternative versions of LIFE reports for IABs, and an update on the local PC server option.
