OBJECTIVES:

 

1. Enable NSF to brief I/UCRC Evaluators on policies and updates concerning the I/UCRC program and Evaluator role;

2. Provide a forum for presentation, review, and discussion of current findings from ongoing research by the I/UCRC Evaluation Program and current, NSF-supported evaluation research projects;

3. Provide a forum for I/UCRC Evaluators to exchange information and ideas about best practices for the role of Evaluator; and

4. Offer a vehicle for presentation and discussion of new findings, theory, and/or applications in the national community of professionals involved in evaluation of R&D, cooperative research, innovation management, and related topics.

Mariann 'Sam' Jelinek, Kraemer Professor of Strategic Management, Mason School of Business, College of William & Mary, Williamsburg VA. Sam reports on interviews with 85 industry sources responsible for Industry-University cooperation, about practices that do and don't promote successful partnerships.

Report of Evaluators' 2006 responses to the 2002 on-line survey, comparison with 2002 responses, and discussion of implications for our role?
